Rich, warm and calming fragrance with sweet and spicy tones, perfect for bed and bath

The Manhattan Beach New Orleans Fragrance Oil arrives well secured in a white bubble wrap envelope. The amber bottle holds .34 fluid ounces of oil and has a professionally designed label that features the brand logo and fragrance name. Instead of a dropper top the bottle has a reducer that prevents the oil from dispensing too quickly, eliminating messy drips on hands and bottle. This product is made in the USA.

While the fragrance states it is inspired by New Orleans with tobacco, bourbon and leather, I don’t get earthy tones but more a warm, rich sweetness. I found the scent to be powdery and clean with spicy notes likely from the ginger but it is mild and not too peppery. I would consider this a soft scent and while it is strong, it is not overbearing.

Using an electric diffuser results in a stronger scent that will fill larger rooms. My preference with the New Orleans fragrance oil is using a reed diffuser as the more passive delivery gives a lighter overall fragrance that I enjoy more. Both worked well using only a few drops of oil and had a long lingering scent that made my rooms smell lovely.

This fragrance seems particularly appropriate for both the bedroom and bath as I found it both calm and relaxing. It did not work well for me in the kitchen since it did not mingle well with cooking smells. I have tried several of the Manhattan Beach hotel fragrances and the New Orleans one is my favorite.

At the time I ordered it this hotel fragrance was priced at $9.99 which seems a good value for the money since it will last quite awhile.

One of.my favorite scents by this brand

have tried 6 different fragrances from Manhattan Beach. This one is one of my favorites. It is supposed to be inspired by Tom Ford Tobacco and Vanille. I cannot attest to that as I only use a couple of personal fragrances and none of them are by Tom Ford. It is described though as warm notes of tobacco leaves, ginger, and vanilla. From what my nose picks up I'd say that is a pretty good description. The aroma is warm, sweet and spicy with a deep, dark, vanilla base.

The oil can be used in ultrasonic, waterless & reed diffusers alike. Just a few drops in your favorite diffuser setup fills bedrooms, living rooms, or offices with this intoxicating aroma.

Best of all the oil is vegan, non‑GMO, and IFRA‑compliant. This fragrance oil is also made without parabens, phthalates, or synthetic dyes. It is kid and pet‑friendly when used as directed in home fragrance applications.

A 10 out of 10 for me and one I will keep in permanent rotation.

A warm, unique, earthy scent.

I really like Manhattan Beach oils, the scents are interesting combinations that come together to form unique fragrances and true to form this New Orleans oil does just that. This is an earthy, slightly spicy scent that isn't at all flowery or perfumy. Some might say it leans masculine but honestly, I think it could easily be unisex. Don't let the tobacco leaves scent in this dissuade you, it's not unpleasant at all. Quite the opposite, combined with the ginger and vanilla it produces a fragrance all its own that you really need to smell for yourself.
